Outward Bounds Trust

70 of our Year 7 and Year 10 pupils completed a 5-day residential in Snowdonia as part of our leadership programme last week.

Throughout the week, the pupils completed a range of activities from canoeing a 3-mile journey and jumping off a 30-foot jetty to eating bugs and hiking 8 miles to a campsite in the hills of North Wales. It is safe to say that these challenges were tough, but all of our pupils showed what it takes to be Walkden STARS, Sensible, Thoughtful, Ambitious, Respectful and Supportive. Each day brought new challenges that each one of the pupils (and staff) embraced, showing strength and determination throughout the week. Life long memories made and skills set for life and many 'Stars and Stripes' awards achieved.
