School Bus Information
School Bus Update: July 2018
Every year Transport for Greater Manchester receive a large number of applications for the yellow school buses however the patronage data recorded shows low usage. Therefore the school and Transport for Greater Manchester have decided to remove the Yellow Bus Pass as a requirement of travel and make both the Y6 and Y7 services open for all children for a term. During that time, the school and Transport for Greater Manchester will be monitor the bus usage and assess the demand. Alternatively, pupils can use services 29, 68, V1, V2 and X34 which is operated by Stagecoach Manchester.
Based on this year’s patronage data, the demand for the 917 afternoon school journey can be accommodated on the two Yellow School Buses therefore this journey will be removed. Timetables for Services 29, 68, V1, V2 and X34 will be available on Transport for Greater Manchester’s website: www.tfgm.com late August. Please note that to travel at the concessionary fare, pupils will need to have an IGO card, otherwise a higher fare will apply. Further details about the IGO card can be found at http://igo.tfgm.com
