Parent View

We value your opinion

We recently held a Parent Governor election and had a very strong field of parents contending for four vacancies. I would like to thank all of the parents who put their names forward for election. It is fantastic to have such high levels of engagement from our parents and I know the positive impact this has on our children.

The four parents who were elected and will now serve the school for four years are; Nicola Merriman, Claire Hardwick, Paul Shana and Helen Barton. I would like to welcome them to the Governing Board of Walkden High School and look forward to their contributions and view points.

Being a Parent Governor is a huge commitment but there are other ways of having your voice heard. A simple and effective way to contribute to improving our school is to log-on to Ofsted’s ParentView and answer their short questionnaire. Thank you to those of you who have already been onto the ParentView webpage and contributed.

I appreciate it. If you haven’t been on, then please follow the instructions below…

Click on https://parentview.ofsted.gov.uk/login?destination=give-your-views

or Google “Parent view” and follow the first link to the screen below.

If you have used Parent View before you can log in and give us your opinion. If this is your first use of Parent View you will have to register, which is very, very simple.

Once logged in, search for us as a school and then there are 12 very simple questions to answer. The whole process takes about 5 minutes. Your opinions really do matter to us and the more responses we get the more representative the results are, so please, whether you are happy with what we do as a school or not, take the time to comment on how we are doing. Your opinion matters.
